In order to meet the special requirements when processing stainless steel (INOX), PFERD uses wire quality 1.4310 (V2A) for all INOXbrushes. Practical experience from the industrial environment confirms that it has very good corrosion resistance with an optimal service life. All PFERD brushes with INOX trim are marked blue and are suitable for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as V4A.
The wire quality 1.4310 tends to behave ferromagnetically when cold-hardened, i.e. it is attracted to magnets. The reason for this is a change in the structure caused by deformation, e.g. during wire drawing. This has no influence on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX trim. It retains its corrosion-resistant properties.
Stainless steel wire (INOX) can withstand temperatures up to 450 °C.
