Recommended for fine pitch threads, such as those used in hydraulics, pneumatics and connections in general. Fast curing. LOCTITE 542 has been developed for clamping and sealing threaded metal pipes and fittings as well as other cylindrical metal connections. Theproduct cures in the absence of air, completely filling gaps between threads, to secure threads and joints and prevent loosening and leaks due to impact and vibration. The thixotropic nature of LOCTITE 542 reduces migration of liquid product after application to the substrate. Advantages: Recommended for fine pitch threads such as those used in hydraulics, pneumatics and general connections. Suitable for metallic threads only. Instantaneous sealing at low pressure. Resistant to fuels, oils, coolants and hydraulic fluids. Fastens connections avoiding loosening caused by vibrations.
