PFERD uses wire grade 1.4310 (V2A) to meet the special requirements for machining stainless steel (INOX) on all INOX brushes. Industrial practice has confirmed that it is the most corrosion-resistant and has an optimum service life. All PFERD brushes with INOX material are marked in blue and are suitable for working on all stainless steels (INOX) such as V4A.
Wire grade 1.4310 tends to be ferromagnetic due to deformation during hardening. This is caused by a change in the structure causedby deformation, for example during wire drawing. This has no influence on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX material. The anti-corrosion properties are maintained.
Stainless steel wire (INOX) withstands temperatures up to 450 °C.
